Okay. Strangers enter a home without an accountable human. A hunk of cool technology that could conceivably be hacked, vandalized, destroyed, the only thing standing between these strangers and a valuable asset. What could go wrong here?

I just posted on this topic as well. I beleive it devalues the profession a bit and certainly takes the personal touch out of the equation. That being said, there are some people who would prefer to not have personal interactions... until there is a problem and need someone to rant to :-)

You're going to have to take the time to program one, get it licensed so that it can also hold a Supra key (being licensed & bonded) AND provide it with every little detail about construction, the neighborhood, the schools, that particular home, etc...

They are not saving time, they're wasting time in MHO!

I wonder if they can pass the licensing exam.

A few agents I have encountered have robot personalities, so I'm not sure it's much of a stretch.

I always remember when long ago my brother was attending engineering school.. he had a slide rule (know what that is?) before the e-calculator days. He had a sticker on it and it read: "Look alive or you'll be replaced by a button".

Not sure our state real estate commission would approve this any time soon.

I feel that this is yet another example of taking technology too far. 

we have some of those is our area acting just like that... I don't like the idea, but who would have thought robotic surgery would exist!!!!

Some agents are robotic making the idea to use real robots attractive. Still, for the savvy agent robots continue to eat their dust

I believe that the home showing process in Real Estate is one of the most important steps in building a relationship with your client. This should be just as personalized as the home you're hoping to buy!

wow... very interesting. On one hand I think.. .wait... what about the human element? ... on the other hand I think.. when is the last time I used a bank teller versus an ATM?... times are changing... will have to learn to bend or be broken.

Seriously? I want to go into homes with my clients to read their body language, answer questions, have discussions about pros and cons. Can the robot do this?

Heck we'll help fly the plane and clean the rest rooms to get a better deal in the silver bird. I think of videos as automated open houses on demand showings that "clone" you the agent or real estate broker. Using automation to streamline the delivery of local area and property listing information for round the clock just makes sense for busy buyers, sellers. Does that compute Will Robinson? Glad I don't have a HAL 9000 on order from Amazon to help me peddle properties though. He can read lips in private conversations and does not miss a trick.

Some agents act that way already and are soon out of the business. So, in reality, not much!

I can only see this for vacant/unfurnished homes with installed security cameras and only to buyers/tenants who have been vetted. 

I hope the property with "robot" is vacant. :)

That is interesting, and have not heard this will be or has happened in Denver yet.

It is definitely a very forward thinking concept, but like this and all other technology, there is bound to be technical flaws and issues.  Also, there would be no personal interaction, not to mention puting realtors out of work.

I have met many an agent that was robotic. It is not a new concept.

I am sure that it is in Z's future plans.

If they are not licensed I do not believe they can show in Georgia. LOL

That is what some home buyers think of the realtor profession.  I need a Supra door opener. Will research myself looking for a person to fill in blanks. If Redfin gives 1/3rd back can you accept $2500 commission for a $1.5M home purchase?

Personally, we maintain that real estate is a people business, and having shown many properties in our lives, I can't imagine a robot being programmed to answer all question that arise.  I think this company is positioning itself to be bought and is feeding the PR machine.  A
