I possess both. In equal measure. Maybe a little more integrator, if they weren't completely equal. And yes, this is a real estate question, thank you for asking it! I'm in a carnivorous mood lately. No cotton candy. This is not fluff.

When I left the corporate world, I stopped worrying about stuff like this. I work on my own and am my own visionary and integrator as I need to be.

People get inspired by the visionary. However, it takes the integrator to handle the practical aspects of the inspiration. My husband is both, but not an extrovert, which is my role.

I see in in two parts. A visionary that cannot be at least part integrator is only a dreamer. 

I am not much for attaching labels to people.

Two is tooooooooo limited classification. There are much more to that. But to stick to the question, I'm a visionary.

I have some of both. I have vision and know how to make it happen.

In the absence of structure, the fallback (default) is common sense....

I don't think it's a miracle, I think it's a necessity.  I think anyone in business more than 5 years has to be both.

I always marched to my own drummer....when I was actively working as a listing agent, I knew what I wanted to do and how to get there.... I made it happen...on my own...no one wanted to join me with it because it was a hell of a lot of construction education to be finished quickly.... 

   I was consulting with a tech company in Scottsdale 10 or 12 years ago.  They introduced me as, "an idea man".

Sounds a lot like parenting Annette. One day I was minding my own business and a couple of visionaries appeared.

I'm more of the integrator, but I've had my head in the clouds before and got all visionary.

I don't think "two" is nearly enough.

You're saying there's
1) the guy who 'sees' it
2) the guy who 'does' it

I'd say there are plenty more
the guy who 'denies', the guy who 'ignores' it, the guy who 'backslides', the guy who 'blames', the guy who blames the gal, the gal who blames the guy,  the guy who carries things too far... oh, wait, that's me.

I am both but, hire people to help me with the integration - I can't see it, plan it and get it all done alone! LOL

What's funny is I'll say, "We need to do XYZ. Can you have it done by the end of the week?" While we're wrapping up our meeting, one of my assistants will say, "XYZ is done - check your inbox after the meeting and approve!" It blows my mind because my wheels are still in the vision & planning mode! She will pull it together in a matter of minutes and if left to me to do, it may be weeks before I get to it!

SO, in response to your question - while to me, it's easy to BE both, in our business, it's very difficult to DO both (if that makes sense)!

In real estate business the visionaires are dreamers. Full of hot air like Z and other sites. There is no substitute for hard work to be successful.

I think people are too complex and too unique to be classified and pigeonholed in this manner. Guess that MAKES me a VISIONARY cause see something else LOL
