Would we notice a difference? PS. It's been legal in Nevada for a while now and so have the complaints risen about drivers being worse than ever.
I'm okay with legalization but that's one thing that scares me. They're going to have to make penalties for DUI much more severe. And the Catch 22: unlike alcohol which burns off an ounce per hour, THC stays in your system long after you've imbibed, so blood work will unlikely convince a judge that you weren't stoned because of what you smoked 3 days ago-- even if it's true.

All I can say is "what is next"?

My son the attorney is one of the leading sources for this subject. The United States now regulates cigarettes, alcohol and Marijuana but we will not know the effects of this for decades to come even though I suspect the worse

We have had legalized marijuana for a while now. This next year our property disclosure statement is being updated with an entire 1/2 page devoted to nothing but disclosure on cannabis.  But I have to say as far as real estate goes, we still have issues with no title company insuring for these sales if it is know that the property will be used to grow, distribute or produce a federally banned product. Personally, our brokerage and many others avoid handling these transactions. Plenty of other work to be had which doesn't include potential legal action with the federal government.

I am okay with the recreational use, I am not okay with the lie that many use in calling it medical.  By calling it medical it forces lots of grey areas with landlords and others.

Like you, I am in the moronic state of Commifornia.  Out here state laws apparently override federal laws.  I don't care what that piece of excrement Gov. Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown allowed or what propositions were passed to decriminalize crimes and make violent rape a misdemeanor, pot use is still a federal crime and I will NOT be a party to an illegal enterprise.

Several years ago my State approved the Lottery so schools could have more funding. Teachers still have to buy school supplies for the students. Where is the money going? Into the General Fund.

I say NO! to race tracks, casinos and MJ stores.

Didn't see a question so guess I won't give an opinion.  Marijuana has been legal in Washington State for a few years.  They're still trying to figure out how to regulate it.

My opinion... another path to the decline of our society.

This is a bad idea.

Bad like stop light cameras.

Bad like privately run jails and penitentiaries.

Why? It is simply revenue augmentation meaning more money for politicians to spend from the general fund to pretend they did something useful.

However, I could be convinced to change my vote IF the regulations that will drive the price up and make the politicos gleeful, would instead drive the price down so low the traffickers will need to focus their effort in another country. In essence put the illegal trade out of business. Instead, what we will end up with is both illegal and legal pot, and continuation of the health care system hell bent on perscribing opiods, deepening the pit in which the country currently finds itself because some with big mouths believe the gov actually knows what it is doing.  

It a sad state of affairs.

PS: I do not smoke any product of any kind. No personal benefit only observation of government perversion.

I think there's tremendous economic opportunity, but it comes with a cost.  I'd be more for it if CA would use the tax proceeds to get their hands out of my pockets at every other turn.

I am really on the fence with this.. Pot was never a real interest for me and I prefer the notion of it being out of the hands of criminals... but don't really care for the idea because I think it sends the wrong message to kids.

Will be interesting to see if people move there.

I know Colorado's economy flourished, as well as so many flocking to CO to buy it.   Now we have overpriced homes, not much inventory and bad traffic!  

I won't be partaking when I visit.  And my thoughts on the matter are not polite as I know of a recent high person who killed a police officer.
