I consider this a good question.Ā Unsalted and dry roasted is my preference. When I crave salted nuts itsĀ because I crave salt not to mention the combo is pretty good. On shelled, I eat the whole thing (fiber) and I like stand alone too. I roast my own batchesĀ because I like double-roasted nuts. I take the heart of the nut right to the roast edge and all flavor is released. Retailers cannot risk customizing yet once you have had mine, your hooked!Ā 

Bonus: Did you hear about the two nuts who went for a walk late at night in the park? They were assaulted!

When I was a young man I used to go to the Chicago White Sox ballgames. There used to be a peanut vendor that would walk up and down the aisles barking out his sales pitch. "No peanuts, no ballgame. No ballgame, no peanuts." I was never really sure what that meant, but he sold a lot of peanuts.

Anyway, if I have peanuts, I prefer them salted in the shell.

Mmmmm, my favorite way is salted in the shell. That is a rarity for me these days as my son is allergic to them. My second favorite way is an unsalted peanut inside an M&M. It is a safer way to eat them but I rarely do that these days unless I am out of the house and even then I have to wash thoroughly and brush my teeth before I am near my son.Ā
