All the family assembling for Midnight Mass, all the rest is superficial activities that pale in comparison.

Don't have any.  When I was a kid, it used to be opening of one present on Christmas eve.

I am at our place in Florida and we spend it with Charlene's family and we eat a lot of fish but of course turkey on Christmas day. It pares well with Florida lobster and any wine.

Now that my children and step-children are grown and mostly moved away, my parents are deceased, my in-law parents are ill, my brother-in-law and family recently moved away, new traditions are being tried, discarded, or kept. So this year was a hodge podge of old and new, such as my homemade cookies and same decorations as usual, Yankee Gift swap instead of individual presents, and the like. To me, family and friends are what makes any holiday special, so as long as there is togetherness, it is all perfect.

Dinner on Christmas Eve, then open one gift at a time, round robin fashion then dessert.

Our family tradition: we celebrate them all. The more happy smiles, the better.

Every year it is a bit different

Christmas Eve is spent with family and friends and when it's just immeditate family left, we open one gift each - together! 

These days every year is different, depending on where I am and who I am with.

I don't think I have any holiday traditions.  I just love watching those Christmas lights :)

No presents, out to dinner with family and then home!

We stay home, we celebrate Christmas Eve.

We had a quiet evening at home. Chef Dolores prepared a wonderful dinner.

For the first time had gifts last night along with a wonderful dinner with my 91-year-old Mom, then off today to spend Christmas with the grandkids in Los Angeles.

I celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve... church, meal, presents.

When I was raising my family, always the oldest opened first, we had prime rib or crab legs for dinner.  

My Donald and I watch Christmas movies and dine in and open one gift to each other the end of the night.  Next year may be different as we'll be grandparents.

Times have changed over the years.  Traditions gone by ... parents are deceased. My son an adult ... most time is spent with close friends. 

Dinner with my adopted family, my Buffini & Company Coach has me to her home every Christmas Eve, the last 5 years and it's a full blown Italian Feast with her family, friends, neighbors, our pastor and this year my Bride was able to join us. It's a true feeling of Christmas!
