I've set it up so that a request for feedback goes out to any agent who's shown one of my listings. I think it's good business to respond to all feedback requests from agents who's properties I've shown. I'd want them to do the same for me.

I ask for FB & get 30% response or so. We have an email system now thru Showingtime & it works ok. I changed the questions to make it funny. I think I get a better response that way.

Yes and yes. Sometimes the feedback is simply that this is not the right home for the buyer. I have found that getting into specifics (the buyer didn't like this or that, or a list of repairs needed) puts both the listing agent and seller on the defensive.  When I am the listing agent, I appreciate feedback but usually I can predict the reasons a buyer may pass on a property and try to prep my sellers for such objections.

Let me be more specific. I am present for showing and can observe the buyers responses. I think it is called, "FULL SERVICE."

1. I will offer feedback if there's a reason to, i.e., trouble securing property, a leak, something listing agent needs to know. If my client has interest, I won't tip our hand to the LA. I don't want them shopping offers or blabbing to seller. If the listing agent requests feedback, I will respond diplomatically, thanking them for facilitating our showing.
2. I'm really only interested in an offer--or to be informed if something is amiss. I'll be gracious if feedback is offered but I won't chase it down unless I have a reason. We're busy, and if everybody did it all the time, who would have time to do the job?
As to your comment, relationships built over the years w other brokers in the area are based in successful transactions. I'm not saying feedback is not a good idea. Just a YMMV thing.
PS. A broker friend showed a property I had just put on market, called me immediately upon discovering mold in the back of a cabinet, figured I did not know. She was right, and it required thousands in remediation. I was grateful she took the time to get a hold of me. So every situation is unique.

Yes and yes.  In our market, feedback is a courtesy facilitated by Showing Time. 

I do not offer feedback unless it can be constructive and I don't expect it unless it is constructive.

2.  Sellers expect it regardless of how well we prep them that 50% of the showing agents won't provide it! Because I know the stress it causes sellers when they don't receive feedback, I am religious about giving it when I show property. It may sometimes simply be generic but, I give it!

Yes, I provide feedback to EVERY listing for EVERY showing, even if my buyers refuse to walk in the door because they don't like the neighborhood.

I give feedback when asked by listing agents and I ask for feedback from agents on listings if I am not inundated with showings.  Often, though, we pretty much know which listings need feedback and which ones will most likely generate multiple offers, so the answer to the last question is not always.

About 80-90% of the time, I provide feedback. If my clients are considering putting in an offer, I hold off because I don't want them to know until we're ready to go. In those cases, I do admit I sometimes forget to provide the feedback after they decide to move on to another house. 

I never provide feedback on price.

And I use the showing time application which does send a feedback request.  I don't bug the buyer agent if I don't get any feedback though. 

I give feedback sometimes only if they call and I pick up.  If they leave a message, I don't call back.  Or if I just have a minute when I get the email come back from the mls.  I am guilty on not calling back all the time asking for feedback but that is truly something that I plan on doing all the time moving forward.

I request feedback on every listing of mine automatically. If I dont hear back, I will call since many agents prefer to give "off the record" comments.

An automatic request is sent to each agent who shows my listing.  I always repond to requests for feedback, and I am always truthful with what my client and I feel about the property.  I would expect the same from those agnets who show my property, but the response is negligible.  Very unprofessional..

No. They can ask but they don't get. Here's why. Why does a listing agent need feedback? Professional listing agents don't need to if it's priced properly or the condition of the property is right. If the listing agent don't know those answers, then they are not doing a competent job.

I would like to get feedback from every showing.  I will gladly give feedback on listings I show.  The majority of my listings are agent must accompany so I am there to observe and meet the buyers but feedback is still appreciated.

No, generally a lack of an offer or a quick showing is feedback enough.  If they spent a good amount of time at the house, I'll call though.  If people I can trust for an honest response show it, I'll call them and see what they and their buyer thought.  Can't overcome an objection if you don't ask for them.

Inna Ivchenko I do not give feedback unless the listing agent asks for it. I do try to make my feedback constructive. I do not ask for feedback.

I only ask for feedback on homes that wont sell quickly. 

I never ask for feedback from any buyer's agent...they represent the buyer and they shouldn't be giving feedback on the results of any showing....

If I have something that I think will help them I do give feedback. What gets me are the automated feedbacks that keep sending me requests for feedback well after we have secured an accepted contract on the property.

I do not ask for feedback and I do not provide it ... unless the agent happens to call me and they get me live ... then I will share IF I recall the specific property.

It was very rare when an agent did not give us feedback.  I just think that we worked with people who in there previous profession where working in corporate sales, and they understood the value of feedback.  And Ron and I would happily do the same for others.  We also shared it with the building owners.  A

I always give feedback and hope I get feedback on my listings.

I do give feedback, and receive about 60%.   

I used to always ask, and maybe get 25% of agents to respond. Now I don't always ask anymore, because even if I do get a response, most of them are not helpful. I will get responses like, "the buyer decided on another home", or "I don't remember your listing because we have looked at so many homes". How does this benefit anyone?
