I've used it when a "no caller id" caller kept calling me. I used Trapcall to unlock that phone number and then I called the caller with a blocked number. Other than that, I don't block my number.

I don't block my number from showing and I don't use any of those codes... who has time to remember them. I just dial and hope to get through to someone. Spam calls I block after the fact.

Ok... here comes the truth... confession... I have used Slydial.... on people I know that if I call them and they answer, despite my telling them I only have a few minutes, they'll go on for ever and ever....

Thanks for your question, Fred Griffin ! I don't and I don't pick up phone that block their number.  It is always a sales call (I was picking it up in the past) and eventhough I'm registered in do not call list, they still call anyway.

Fred Griffin I blocked my Caller ID on my iPhone and found out no one was answering my calls. Caller ID was coming up as 'Private' and people weren't answering it.

Every now and then, there is a person i need to call who i do not want to have my number, or do not want them to know it is me from calling. I wish there was a code to block ALL telemarketers as it is up from 1-2 to 4-5 a day.

No, I have never blocked my cell phone from any number... If it's a sales call, I get rid of them pretty quickly, but it also could be a Buyer or Seller!

No.  I figure if I don't want them to know who is calling, I shouldn't be calling them.  That's the way I feel about unidentified numbers calling me.  If they don't want me to know who they are, they shouldn't be calling me and I don't answer.

I know that many marketing companies are using local numbers to call me to sell real estate services, Google upgrades, etc.
