I keep my appointments on my phone calendar so I can get reminder notices when appointments are due.

I keep everything in my Google Calendar.  It allows for inviting people, starting video conferences with attendees.  The address feature syncs up with my maps and tells me 15 minutes before I need to leave to arrive on time... BASED ON TRAFFIC CONDITIONS.  One click and I can get driving directions or call a phone number listed in it.  Plus I get daily emails of my itinerary.  Can't beat that!

I have/use both but rely more on my paper daytimer, and that's never going to change. On-the-fly, I use calendar in my phone--but it gets committed to paper too.

I am old school.

Daily appointments get written onto a yellow pad. This pad may contain information needed for that days appointments.

So, what is the value of holding a yellow pad and/or showing your work done on behalf of a client?

I've been caught to many times in a Sprint anomaly. They admit to nothing.

I do exactly the same thing that Nina Hollander said. One pc on my desk, one portable laptop when out-of-office, one smartphone , and that's not all, also one new Samsung wearable!!!  All in one beautiful fully synchronized e-ecosystem. One for all - all for one. It's beautiful, effective, efficient, and it works. Keeps me on the ball at all times.

And, I forgot... my car does on screen email, text messages, calendaring, reminders, etc.. etc...

I'll always use a planner, pen to paper locks it in the brain better and it's always with me. It's always been more visual, interactive at the ready and not subject to power supply.

Google Calendar for the reminder alerts on big appts. only.

Well, there was one year that everything got screwed up. That is what my fear is against good ole' paper. Last year I bought a paper appt book & did open it up but hardly wrote anything in it because I had gotten out of the habit. Not a good use there is it?
