I am a new director of our MLS and will be following the responses closely. Big changes are coming in technology.

No I haven't heard of this but it seems east of us here in IL. Doesn't sound good already as which # system will you search by. Now you've got 2 systems - let's overcomplicate things.

Jeff Pearl Our MLS merged several local databases a few years back. Be prepared for some growing pains. I guess it had to eventually happen. Is the MRIS taking over the MLS world?

Havent seen any issues yet.

Our MLS is offering access to many more MLSs however that is not the name and I have not used it yet. I'm still using MLSListings in my area.

Ours has not merged this year, but seemingly merged again and again the last few years. We have gone backwards in technology

I hope it works out better. I believe that most of systems are behind the times. If it wasn't for Zillow MLS systems would be even worse but were forced to innovate.

Sorry, Jeff... at my end we have not been affected as we don't use either mris or bright mls.

In Baltimore, we have recently switched to Bright MLS. I have put in a couple of listings and think there is a real improvement but the searches are not as intuitive as of yet. Tomorrow I go to my first class. 

I do not know anything about the bright mls. So, probably no changes so far with Beverly Hills mls.

We have MLS Advantage here in Florida.

I'm not part of the Magnificent 7, but there are ALWAYS glitches and problems when merging mulitple systems.  I worked in technology more than long enough to know that.  No plan goes smoothly and there are always unseen issues.

Serious glitches on our end. No photos on the tax records, the search is extremely messed up as far as the fields go and I do not like Bright at all. I could have 1000+ matches until I put a zip code in and it goes to 0 even though I know there are several hundred available. I actually typed Main on street address and put in the zip code and it came out 0 listings. Just one example. I went to all the training and additional classes to learn this system and it is not user error. There are 7 different spellings for the subdivision Lake Meade. I must type all them in to find houses for sale in that particular area. There is no rhyme or reason for this system and it has hurt my business. I can no longer search for land listings that allow a mobile home. The field has been changed to mobile home park. That is completely different than a mobile on it's own land. The tax records cannot be found when an owner lives in a different county then the property they are selling is located. I could go on, but I think you get the idea. I have sent in 'help' requests.. I am told they are 'working on it'. I really tried to remain positive and knew there would be growing pains-- we switched October 19 and it is now April 29. It is not better-- we are discovering new 'glitches' as we move forward-- well backward really. The system was never tested before it was rolled out to several thousand at once. Server is slow, and the technology they are using is 10 years old. Not so 'bright' of them.
