I can hardly ever wrap my mind around some of the things that I've seen and experienced. All you can do is keep your vibratory rate as high as possible, maintain equal amounts of faith and a-little-lower-than-realistic expectations. People will betray, but will also surprise pleasantly. Oh, and you only get to do it to me once. I'm Italian and you're dead to me. LOL

It always hurts, but I try to reset my thnking and move on, something else is always around the corner.

I learned a long time ago that for the most part ... when it comes to money loyalty does not exist ... for some? most? many? people.  

I've been betrayed by family members that I thought I could count on. 

Sometimes the hurt / blow takes a long time to recover from.  

In the sporting realm Fred Griffin .... I truly could not care less. 

It's part of life Fred Griffin and in fact it almost seems to be daily. As servants of the public we have to put ourselves out there but there are days I just want to stay home and be surrounded by loved ones I can count on.

I hired a loan processor once thinking it would leave me more time to see agents and get more business. Then 3 months later, she said that she had to quit because she was 7 months pregnant and was ordered on bed rest. Best news I've had in her 3 months of employment. I felt real sorry on the phone, then opened a bottle of champagne when we ended the phone call

Referring hot leads out to Realtors who closed the deal but somehow forget to pay the referral fee.

Now I always get them to sign a referral form.

And then there is the other side. Sometimes those close to us expect a level of loyalty that is not reasonable. But that's another story. Whenever emotions get involved, there is that chance of imbalance. The best thing to do is not to let it derail your life, but move on. I found that often they come back and want to reestablish a relationship. And when that happens, it is never the same as before, because now I am armed with how far I will go with that "friendship".

As I get older, I get both softer and harder all at the same time. What I mean by that, is whenever I see people doing good for others, now I cry. It's so sweet and meaningful. Those people, who do good, are heroes to me.  And when I see people doing bad, I just write them off. I don't care about them. Even if I did at some point, now they're just not important. I don't have time or the energy to spend on these people.

As for betrayal.... A coach leaving without an explanation? That wouldn't be a betrayal to me personally. Someone I care for walking away from me? Well, that would suck, but it would be their mistake and I'd live. Someone f**king me over? Adios, dude, you're dead to me.

The offending party knows what they've done to deserve their come uppance. When I reach that point I nix the relationship without further adieu. It's not common however at times it's necessary.

Before developing the skills that allowed me to rise above the nonsense, this dynamic and more was successful. Betrayal indicates treachery. Treachery indicates a trust issue that supports potential deceptions and therein lies the core of it all.  The unpredictable human nature under fire and duress and the outsourcing of it. Fred, I guess if you live long enough it will happen. I've had friends and clients do it over the past 25 years, and it always stings, but you move on. Most of the time, it comes as a blessing, but sometimes, it comes as a shock. 

Fortunately, I've not had this happen with anyone that I looked up to or counted on. I was betrayed once by a client and I've refused to speak with her since. At one point feeling my silence she sent a note trying to explain herself... it didn't help... she showed me her true colors and I have had nothing to do with her since. Funnily enough, today I received a text message from her asking for prayers for her daughter who is undergoing brain surgery next week. I will respond politely as her daughter isn't at fault here... but she and I are through.

All the time, not well. I do humor to keep things positive though.

Move on.

Fred Griffin Life is too short to hold a grudge against anyone. In the end the harm is on yourself. As far as Jimbo fisher quiting, someone else will take his place and this will be long forgotten.

Happens all the time. Sometimes it's not intentional and other times it is. I just suck it up and move forward. 

A former broker allowed an agent in the office to treat me badly. That felt like abandonment for a time as he should have cleared the air. I felt like ignoring it was poor management.

Yes, of course, I lived some time and had it all, from all kind of people. Before I reacted intensely and it was not easy, now: not that much. I'm not responsible for what other people do, but I can make a choice what  I do about it.

I have been betrayed more than once.  I just dust off my seat of my pants and move on.

Here is my internal "self talk"....  90 - 95% will be good clients... and there will be the odd disappointment.  Now the question becomes... where do I focus my attention?... on the 95% good.. or the 5% bad? 

Too easy to let the disappointment drain the life out of you... the last thing you want is to have it sour you or dampen your enthusiasm and love for your work. 

I think best to "learn from the experience" then "move on" as quickly as possible .. as the disappointments simply take too much time and energy that could be spent elsewhere.... go get some more good ones!

Oh my gosh, Fred, I was shocked at this! The ONLY break he could possibly get is if we find out there's more to this story than his chasing earning potential. Something that FSU did or pushed him to do...

The picture of the new 'live' tree at his curb was just disturbing to me - like he couldn't get out fast enough; he couldn't allow his family to celebrate Christmas in Tallahassee? WHAT?

Just not saying anything to the players is bad enough - but, the entire city, fans and alumni?? I'm still shaking my head at this one.

I felt that when my first wife left me over 20 years ago. The feeling lasted for a couple weeks and then turned into a great sense of relief!!! ;)

Jimbo was supposedly offered 75 million guaranteed over 10 years! I would say he made the right choice. Money talks!

I am feeling the way and actually even mentioned it in my blog today. His heart wa snot in it all year and the players coudl see and feel it. He ran away for a paycheck. Funny thing when someone took a picture of his Christmas tree on the curb Friday am, I knew he was gone. Not telling the players was just a big A@# move

The felon friendly NLF and their farm teams, college football, are for those of a weak mind who choose to invest emotion into a system that is corrupt. Why is betrayal a shocker in a corrupt system disguised as education?

As related to all things real estate, agents are betrayed at every turn in the road, from association, to broker to franchise.

And what do we do? Chant 'Raise the bar," as if it is a agent problem.
