Super-easy here Mike Kelly.  Man-made (2) trees with no flocking.  When I was a kiddo, it was a natural tree bought off of a lot though!

You are lucky!!! My wife keeps me out there for 2 hours! She's a keeper though; we always bring home an amazing tree...last years touched the top of our cathedral ceiling. I'd never go artifical or Home Depot.

we buy a live tree at a nursery with a root ball and we plant it after Christmas.  Sometimes we've gotten permission to plant in a park in our community, sometmes we've planted in a neighbor's yard (of course with permission) a couple at my office and a couple in our yard.  We've had this tradition for about 15 years.

I"ve had a huge fancy artificial tree for last few years. But now i'm not sure I want to go through that decoration again. I will probably buy a few large poinsettia pots and hang decorations here and there.

When we did Christmas trees, I always went out in the woods somewhere and chopped one down.  They weren't blue spruce or Douglas fir; they were wild Florida cedar trees or pines, but we decorated them nicely.

I go for the ease of it and actually keep a decorated tree from year to year on a rollaway platform and can bring it out and fluff it, plug it in and am ready to go in about 15 minutes. I have some scented candles that smell like balsam. It works for me.

Artificial tree, if any at all.  I'm allergic to the actual trees.

Worst christmas for me was the couple years I worked at 21st century auto insurance.  They decorated every floor with a couple fresh cut trees.  By the end I was on three times the daily dosage of sudafed.

I love the scent of pine during this season.

So, something from the farm does come home with me. It is seldom a large tree but always several undecorated large wreaths.

From the Boy Scouts of America, post 2651 I will purchase a 4 ft tree.

Thanks all for the varied responses. We used to go to a tree farm and grab the saw the trapse all over the place as my wife dismissed one tree after another. We'd eventually get one but not after I got my knees soaking wet from kneeling on wet ground slicing away on the tree. I remember going to get a tree from the Boy Scout lot. I drove a 240Z Datsun sports car in those days. One of the attendees on the lot was Mr. James who was the post office geneeral manager and old Boy Scout leader. He looked at my car and said, "Here, take my truck!".  'Tis the Season!

Since we moved to Tennessee, there is a X-Mas tree farm about 2 miles from our rural home. When we got there and asked for the prices, he said all trees were $25 no matter what size. We have never seen trees this full and beautiful so we narrowed it down to about 20 trees. With our saw in hand we finally decided on one. We put lights on it and ornaments on it and a tree skirt about it
