I've never liked it as a relish with meat so I never made it and only served it when I knew there were people who wanted it. For some reason, this year, I bought fresh cranberries and cooked them with together with apples, cinnamon and cloves. Delicious served hot over ice cream! Brandy optional.

Homemade Drunken Cranberries. Put the cranberries in a baking dish. Mix in sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add chopped orange if you wish. Bake at 350 for 15 min, stir, and bake another 15 min. Once out of the oven, stir in a shot of rum.

I like Tony and Suzanne Marriott, Associate Brokers choice!  Have made homemade, but only when I'm bringing it to someone's house - for us and company, it's always store bought.  You have to enjoy making it from scratch, as I didn't think it was quick to make, and when you are doing the rest of the dinner, and cleaning the house . . .  not going to happen!
