"In Flanders Field, the popplies blow, between the crosses, row on row." Writen by Dr. John McRae, He was serving in the same Canadian artillery unit when a friend of his was killed May 2, 1915. The Canadian military doctor and artillery commander Major John McCrae wrote this poem after his friend's burial.
