I'm not "doing" Halloween and I don't know the alternative Fall festival.   

my front door is lit up for hours.... the parents come to my door for a candy bar along with their kids!! 

Like, Barbara Todaro, lights will be on and candy will be given out to the trick or treaters. We love seeing their costumes and watching their excitement and chatting with their parents too!

I like Halloween people are always in a good mood vs. Christmas.

We hand out candy. Like seeing the kids in their costumes. My costume is that of an American Real Estate Broker (we all know that can be scary at times...lol)

I do Halloween... I am sick, sick, sick of all the so-called PC festivals. They should go away as far as I'm concerned.

I do not Annette, I think this is a fun day for kids.

We have a "Family Fun Day" at our church the weekend before Halloween and I always help out with that but we also let our kids participate in Halloween if they want. This year it was too cold.

No plans. Our building does not allow trick or treating!

I hand out candy, so that is doing halloween. I do like fall festivals too leading up to halloween

We were invited to an adult Halloween costume party. We didn't make it this year but we have gone in the past. We'll take the kids Trick or Treating  though. 

I always look forward to giving out candy to the neighborhood children.  I remember how excited me, my brothers and sisters were to go out trick or treating.

No special plans and no costume.

No.  I think a cider festival would be better, especially here in the apple state.

Very few kids out here (I think they all go to the organized trunk or treat type events).  I just watch TV and buy candy at 70% off the next day.

 Neither of either.

Halloween is a fun time for kids and adults wishing to dress up. What other option is there? Some made up alternative? Stop trying to destroy what is fun!

I do Halloween.  I give out candy.  Tonight however I have class. It's an online class that starts at 6:30pm and typically runs for 2 hours.  I may need to leave my bowl on the front porch and hope for the best.

What is an alternative hall festival?

Trick or treating with the kiddos. Yes.

Usually do Halloween but may not be home tonight until late.

I philosophy is to enjoy the festivities as they fall. 

We go out to eat from 6-8

We turn out the lights and do not participate but we rarely see trick or treaters anyway.

We've been DOing it since Friday and it'll end tonight although with any luck the treats shall not.

I happily participate in eating candy.  One for the trick or treaters, one for me. Its only fair.

My contribution to Halloween this year was my cat ears I was wearing to my yoga class. My daughter was allowed to sleep over with her friends. And a bunch of silly text messages I sent and received:)
