You shouldn't need to be sold by another party. You should do your own research and decide for yourself that that's what you want to do.

Speaking as someone who recently purchased property in another state for a future home, the only thing that is going to sell you is the place itself. Go take a look during different times of the year. Spend time there eating the food, talking to people who live there, checking out different areas you might want to live in. Look at real estate property prices and see if there is a specific area that is perfect for your budget. If you have children, look into the schools. etc...... Good luck.

Are you an agent and plan to be an active agent there? If so, you need to know more about the market and how you will fit in and get established.

One should not sell you on a location. One should investigate it, if it is to your liking there is nothing to sell. A

Hello Anonymous,
I was not born in Texas, but as we love to say...I got here as fast as I could.
There are more wonderful reasons to move to the Dallas area than I can fit here...but a few are our robust economy, fabulous cultural amenities and great weather.

In Texas you can wear a cowboy hat without knowing how to get on a horse!

What's good about Texas? Aside from that God Blessed Texas and brought down angels from the promised land?

I've never been to Texas but if relocating there was a consideration I would travel there to explore. It's a big place -- good luck.

Lisa Von Domek & Richard Weeks are great contacts in Dallas. If you're thinking of other areas, try Austin! Good luck, whatever your decision!

I think you need to check it out yourself. I'd reach out to some of the Rainers here from that area - not sure you will get much feedback this way! Lisa Von Domek and Richard Weeks come to mind

Sell yourself by taking a road trip and maybe have coffee with some Raiders to verify your findings

Heat 'n' blue sky
And a road that goes
Forever...
Been thinkin' 'bout it lately
Been watchin' some TV
Been lookin' all around me
and what has come to be
Been talkin' to my neighbor
And he agrees with me...
It's all gone crazy
Well, my wife returns from takin'
My little girl to school, she got
Beads of perspiration
As she tries to keep her cool
She says "Unless it don't get no better,
there's gonna come a day,
someone's gonna get killed out there"
And I turn to her and say, "Texas"
She says "What?"
"They got big long roads out there".
Warm winds blowin'
Heat 'n' blue sky
And a road that goes
Forever...
I'm goin' to Texas. (one,two,three)...
We gotta get outta here
We gotta get outta here
Well I got a little brother
Several meters high
Yeah, he's built just like a quarterback
And he swears he'll testify.
He says he's been to Texas
And that's the only place to be
Big stakes, big cars, no trouble here
That's the place for me
I'm going to Texas (yeah, yeah)
I'm going to Texas (yeah, yeah)
I'm going to Texas
Watch me walkin'
Watch me walkin'
Watch me walkin'

I have nothing to sell vis-a-vis Texas... I live in North Carolina. I suggest you visit the leader board at AR and contact Texas agents to discuss.
