I'm guessing it's a barn converted into living space. We have a lot of "shop houses" that are basic metal shops convered into living space on the interior. It's a great, inexpensive way to build a home and some of them are amazing inside!

Not sure if that could be a barndominium. Most people think of them as nice over sized metal buildings - with beautiful accents inside - a loft and lots of windows plus very low maintenance.  In my area,  for some, yes this could definitely be transformed into a living quarter.
