I would NOT Google top real estate agents. You will get whoever does the best advertising. I would look through a few agents websites to find one that I thought presented themselves well. I then would call and talk to them. I would want to know if they were going to work with my referral or if they were going to have someone on their "team" handle it. I think agents' statistics are misleading now with so many teams. When I work with one agent through an entire sale and then I need to put another person's name on the sale, even though I never had any contact with them, it doesn't seem right. So the team leader gets credit for having so many sales without even having a hand in many of those transactions. Every sale that I get credit for is a transaction in which I personally represented a buyer or seller.
