My credit card statements...I only use cards and pay them off monthly...easy peasy.

I put all business expenses on my credit card including Realtor Dues, education expenses, fuel, client gifts, etc. At the end of the year, there is one place to look. The bonus is I earn points for travel.

I don't use an app for that, I keep records and use an excel spreadsheet on my computer.

Inna, I am pretty high tech as I use an old shoebox in the corner of my office for receipts.

I have used Quicken since 2006.  I keep paper receipts in a filing system that is purged every year and a new one is created.

Credit card purchases only that are filed every week into QuickBooks into specific categories. Then everything is given to the CPA twice a year so taxes can be filed on time.

I'm with Thomas J. Nelson, Realtor,CRS,e-Pro on this one.  I have one card that I use for 99% of my business expenses.  I have one restaurant where I only go when entertaining clients and talking with lawyers, so all expenses at that retaurant are by default client entertainment/business meals.

We still just use a pen and pad for mileage. We do all business costs on a business credit card and keep receipts. I do reconcile it all in Quicken so I can print out categories of expenses for our accountant. -Kasey

I call it delegation, best if someone else handles these details while I do what I do best.

I use my calendar to track expenses. Nothing elaborate. 

Added up all receipts and estimate mileage.  If you lease your car it is still better to charge mileage. It takes me may be 20 minutes each year to gather receipts etc put on a spread sheet give to my CPA.  The apps are great but it is more time consuming.

Excel spreadsheet, and manually enter the data from reciepts I throw in a drawer.  This is an area I could improve in.

I use an old fashion ledger. I can enter my expenses before the computer warms up

I have an excel spreadsheet that I use, and a mileage log book I keep in my car. I have thought about MileIQ, but have never gotten around to looking into it more.

We do QuickBooks daily and we coordinate our entries with our CPA so he does not have to recode.

We just upload into Quickbooks weekly

Initially I used Quickbooks, however; I found that my time was consumed by finance and offloaded the accounting to my tax firm.

Quick books works for me.

I use expensify, great app with lots of features tha tmake it easy to track everything

We simply use a spreadsheet.

Quick books is great! All it takes is about 2 minutes a day and I am up-to-date. My CPA loves it too.

I see excel is a favorite! I considered switching to an app 

I have always used Excel spreadsheets to keep track of both expenses and business.    My CPA has tweaked some of the columns to help her.   The key is to enter them as they happen, not at the end of the year.
