It depends on the area. Craiglist works really well in a lot of areas but recently my daughter moved from Logan Utah to Orem Utah and neither of those areas use CL but rather they use KSL mostly, the local news online. They have a very good rental section where you can market your rentals. So check your own areas where you have rentals and ask people in those areas. They will know what is mostly used there. 

Z, T and CL - in that order.

I don't often do rentals, but when I do, I get the most traffic from prospective tenants from zillow, trulia and hotpads.  There was a site called postlets that I would do an ad on and it would syndicate the ad to many rental sites, including zillow, trulia and hotpads.  It has since been purchased by zillow and I don't like it as much because it is not as easy to use since zillow took it over.

So many scammers on craigs list....be watchful.  We had  doozie a few years back and haven't been back there.

Craigslist and Zillow.  Hands down.  Realbird gets the rentals posted on Zillow and has a nice craigslist format, plus gets it on the other rental portals too.

Most of my rentals have been through Craig and Zillow, my most recent was actually through the MLS!

Rentals are not included in my suite of services.  

Craigslist is used by all the local property management companies.

CL and Trulia do have a great reach, but so many scams scare tenants and landlords. The same though is happening in other platforms. The key for a landlord is to interview each tenant carefully, choose the best, not the first and take caution.

I don't market rentals, Bob, or work with renters... so not much help. But one of my clients who buys investment properties with me swears by Zillow.

Zillow is the best for this.

FB can be great 

CL- easy to post and monitor 

Trulia/ Zillow- posts to multiple sites as well 

There are 2-3 pure rental websites (ie rentals.com)

I don't know the answer to this, but I can say that our MLS shares data with a ton of platforms. I just had a rental listing, and most of the leads came from Trulia. There were some from Z or hotpads.

I have been using Zillow as its pretty good now. We still use Craigslist some but its full of scams on rentals. Still number 1-good old yardsign.

I will never use Craiglist again for rentals. Too much scam possibility. Facebook is good and so is blogging.

I don't handle rentals but curious about what others use. Everyone seems to use Craigslist despite all the scams

The MLS?

Most of my leads come from Zillow, followed by my personal site, followed by local facebook groups.

While I do not like them Trulia/Zillow and Craigslist seem to work along with Realtor.com.
