I am pretty exhausted, and do not see any days off for the rest of the year, if I did I would probably sleep for 5-6 days.

Absolutely no where... I do not ever, ever travel during the holidays. Made a trip some 25 years ago to Hawaii to visit kids and grandkids... that taught me never to travel over the holidays and I haven't. But if I were to suddenly lose my mind and travel... it would be to one of my two hometowns--NYC and Paris.

5-6 days would have to be the Caribbean because of the climate in December and it's closer to me than flying to another one of my preferred destinations (Hawaii). I don't want to spend a lot of travel time!

If travel has to be part of those 5 or 6 days, it would definitely be somewhere close to home. Possibly a ski vacation!

Want to do NYC at least once during the holidays (even though I've been there many times). A couple other places would be...chilling on a island in the Caribbean that I haven't visited before or hanging out in the Palm Beach, Florida area.

We are not fond of traveling at holiday time but IF I were going then it would likely be HI. Although Paris at holiday time is stunning.

If it's expected to be a brutal winter, I'd go somewhere warmer. I'd actually go to Paris, Rome, Florence.

5 to 6 days is short, so I would go somewhere that's easy to travel (i.e. not Europe or exotic) and given time of year, I would vote for beach.
Not sure where you live, but I'm near NYC, so I'd be going somewhere around east coast and w/ non stop. Florida can be really iffy end Dec-mid Feb (we used to go every year), so I think I'd prob go to somewhere like Cancun where weather is much nicer/more steady that time of year and it's an easy trip (non stop/tons of flights from NYC). I'd take 6am flight to avoid the traffic to airport and maximize time on beach the 1st day.
If I had 2 weeks (or even 10 days), then I'd probably go somewhere further. I've never been to Hawaii so that could be nice in December. Or, I'd love to go to Australia. Most of Europe is not so hot that time of year, except for maybe Spain, but I think Spain and most of Europe is much nicer April- Sept. Of if I had longer I might go back to the game parks in Africa.

I'd head back up to my previous home - Beaver Creek and Vail to go skiing and hang out with friends/family.

It would be St Thomas, VI for us. Even though, we do like to retreat to our mountain hideout when short trips pop up. It's very quiet and relaxing.

No travel over the holidays.
Otherwise: if wife goes, Ritz Carlton somewhere. If I go alone, backpack and a long hike into the woods.

do what you love to do .... for me, it would be a beach on a spectacular island.... with the least amount of commercializing around me....

Somewhere warm and sunny, in a fine hotel with a spa so I can enjoy a long massage and some pampering... then lounging by the pool with a Margharita in hand.

With more time, Italy.
5-6 days it's easy; Monterey or Carmel-by-the-Sea, or Catalina Island 🌴 . Love all three and it's all you need to feel you got away. Otherwise New York 🌵or Boston are pretty at Christmas 🎄
