It will not be a war. It will be a leadership decapitation strike. If Jung isn't taken out, his inner circle will be emboldened to take him out and end generations of depraved oppression. The general population and the army will then rise up and overthrow the ruling class. There will be no need for American boots on the ground in NoKo. Since the regime is just a family dynasty it does not represent a global movement or ideology. Therefore, the action will be swift and finite. Financial markets will be relieved that the insanity is over, therefore, markets will not crash. The housing market will continue business as usual. 

I suspect the Generals will not allow him to pursue this folly to that extent.

I think there will be a short term impact but hope and pray that it does not come to that.

IF missiles strike the USA or territories, a state of emergency will exist and all lending will cease. How long that status exists will determine what happens to the real estate market.

Be aware, every time a tropical storm crosses Florida, all lending inside the 'cone' ceases until the condition no longer exists.

It will drop regardless... eventually. Wars are not about housing market, but it does affect local housing.

I do not think it will come to that. If war starts on US soil it would disrupt the real estate markets. I remember how things froze in place right after 9/11.

Housing will remain strong & unfazed. Typically, people seek comfort at home especially when the going gets rough. There is no place like home holds and I wouldn't call it a "war". It is closer to a one-sided slaughter

Robert Vegas Bob Swetz We've been at war for the last 15 years and it hasn't changed the housing industry here. The panic will be caused by the fear of a nuclear attach on this country not the war. I totally agree, "Let us pray this doesn't happen. . ."

Yes, it would probably upset the market. I think the biggest concern would be our relationship with China but I wouldn't mind seeing us change that relationship anyway.

What happened after 911?  We had 100,000 jobs disappeaared instantly in the Valley. Cupertino had the highest home price drop in CA about -12% ......

Rest of SFBA was about -7.5%.... 

The dot com recession lasted at least 3-4 years here.  I smell a smaller one coming.  Just look at some of the stocks value evaporated recently....

I think the markets are already stalling out here (in certain price ranges) just with the possibility.  I wouldn't mind seeing us drop a couple nukes on Kimmy.  Of course, there are a few countries I'd like to nuke first...
