I don't do it but, I love to cook so, I enjoy reading the recipes posted by others!

Everyone has their own reason for a blog... and it ought to include enjoying what you are doing.  Also every home has a kitchen and people cook in them and a good recipe can be of interest and help to people. We used to have a recipe at least once a week on Facebook. Something happened and we missed a couple of weeks... we actually got people asking where are the recipes??? 

Blogs are for people- People eat- Post recipes if you like- Its all GOOD!!!

As long as you are not harming anyone, post whatever you want.

I think it's nothing more than a post for points.  This is a real estate community and the posts should be reflective of why we are here.  Just my opinion.  

I have no problem with it.  Will Hamm has posted some great recipes.  Why not share the love....-Kasey

I like to cook and I like to eat so I love them.

It's not my style but I'm fine with others doing so. Some of them sound fantastic but the likelyhood of me actually making it is slim to none.

It's not my personal style... I don't send recipe post cards or emails, either. When it comes to business, I still very "corporate. But I have no problem with the practice.

I have no problem with it - in fact several years ago I got a listing from one of my old posts - was a simple recipe for quick meals!

I don't post recipes anywhere because I am not a cook. But there's nothing wrong with it. I think people should share themselves, in whatever form that takes.

I've long been a proponent of "You do you." Your blog is your blog, and if you want to post recipes or poetry or photographs or market reports, that's totally up to you. As a reader of blogs, I enjoy a recipe or two now and then.

It's not my style but to each his own.   

It is your blog, you post what ou want.

Post whatever makes you happy Roy as long you are hurting someone I see nothing wrong with it. Those that don't want to read them don't have too. I know my wife would love it.

Like those can of nuts Roy Kelley I'm mixed on the subject.  It is not my style and I would not be looking for recipes on this site.  My diet is organic and mostly vegan ... so not likely I would find a receipt here I would use.  I don't see that it hurts ... so the other side is ... why not? 

I guess its fine, but it better be a good one and include a picture.

I am devoid of all recipes in any form. Not blogs, postcards or zerox copies.

Isn't that why Pinterest was invented?

I've enjoyed reading many of them, although I've never tried to cook them. That would take making a list of ingredients, going to the store, picking up specific stuff, actually cooking it, then trying to make those near and dear to me eat it. And therein lies the rub. People I know cook a lot better than I do and that's my second excuse to seldom cook anything original. Sad, eh?

Unless your niche is chef's or you are on AR to play around I don't see the point. Anyone who is here to generate leads and new biz should be concentrating on the things that real estate buyers and sellers are searching for online.

Great for folks looking for some new recipes to try.  But I'd probably post it on a blogging platform that wasn't real estate-centric for best results

No problem, however please make sure they are gluten-free and vegetarian based.

Roy Kelley I think it's ok on occasion..... I can remember posting grain free pizza and cloud bread with no grain.... Roger Mucci loves the pizza.... still makes it.... 

I don't mind. I remember when an agent in my old office mailed out recipe post cards every month. There were times when people would call the office and say " I didn't get my recipe card this month. Are you still mailing them out?" It was just one way for agents to keep in touch with homeowners even if they weren't ready to buy or sell.

I do not mind. Every blog post is a page of who you are and if you like flowers, or food, or pets or kids, etc. and like to share it, be it. 

I have no problem with them.  And, my wife has actually used a few of them.

I do like Will Hamm-he's a nice guy with good posts, so at the risk of offending him; if it was 1970, I'd say maybe? But, then there'd be no blogs if it were 1970.

It's not a good image for Realtor, they come to us for the largest purchase or sale of their lives, not how to make chocolate cake.

To each their own though, my competition is welcome to do all those goofy things 

It is a violation of the AR guidelines but so are other things and they all seem to get points. I think the majority are cut and paste from national sites which is a possible copyright violation. How hard is it to write it in your own words? I like a good new recipe.

Hints from Heloise is what it reminds me of. She was an sort of Ann Lander or Dear Abby. Seeing recipes here as a staple may be a bit too much. A post contents should have in it what it takes to make a point not a better meat loaf

If it is new and novel ways to marinate tofu I'm in. Beyond that, with pictures that are attractive, bring it on.

I tend to be passionate both about eating well and healthy and I enjoy cooking and developing recipes, so I both read them and share them. Always making sure to share them as Just for Fun though. Roy Kelley 

I don't see the point of recipe blogs as they have nothing to do with real estate.  Same for post card recipe mailers.  They're not original or very creative.

However, blog and write about whatever makes you happy Roy.

I think over the 10 year, I have posted two recipes.  Thought this was a real estate based site, and posting recipe after recipe tells the public you are more into cooking than real estate.    

Wonder if I should stop.

I think it is frequently used as filler to try and get points.  If it is something really cool, I like to see photos of the meal with the recipe and maybe a sentence or two about why you made it.  Not as a regular thing though.

Not my thing, though I've done it once or twice.  Stopped doing it a long time ago.

I don't have a problem with it. It's fun seeing some variety in what people post.
