We never "made" our team meet.  We met as needed and on Fridays at breakfast to recap the week.  It was voluntary and lots of fun.

I check in with my associate every day to make sure we got things done that needed to be done that day and for updates. If I had a regular "team", I'd like to be updated every day as well. Doesn't need to be face to face. It's amazing how many things fall through the cracks, or items are forgotten even in a few days. When I was working for "corporate", we had weekly Monday morning meetings of all department heads and principals in a big conference room. If nothing, else that set us up with a plan for the week and everyone knew what was going on. But, yes, HATED them but in hindsight a good thing.

        A tech company that I owned several years ago, we had weekly video or Skype conferences.  We were in two different states.

         If I had a team where everybody is in the same town, I would still do video conferences.  Or maybe meetings over lunch somewhere.   Nobody wants to waste half a day coming to the office for a weekly sales meeting.
