Hi Debbie --- I haven't planned to write a post and likely won't but I appreciate the information you share.  Good for you for continuing to find ideas that can generate some extra income and more eyeballs on your site.  

I don't post a lot of local events. I used to and got calls on them but it was calls for people interested i the event and not real estate related. I only did it on AR

Many of us post local news: new business, restaurants, events. My thoughts on it, it should that you are actively involved in your community and want to promote it as a great place to live. 

We do not have fireworks on July 4 in our great nation and thus, there would be no need for such a post.

However, it is Canada's 150th birthday this year.  Huge celebrations will be occuring throughout our land.  There were a couple of articles yesterday on home page of the New York Times.

I have not yet.  But you have inspired me to attempt it.  Thank you!

Many years ago, I wrote a post on our local 4th of July parade, right here on Active Brain.  I still get the occassional contact... it has a life of its own.

I may do that and if so it would be on my AR blog, it's my only one.

I have it written but haven't posted yet. I will post it on my WP blog first, then make some changes and post on AR.

We just did out 4th of July post, both on AR and on our own site. We don't have ads on our site so I don't expect a financial reward for it, but I do like that clients - past, present, and future - can look to us as experts in the area.

I have not and most likely won;t. I have in the past, but I don't know that it was one of my more popular topics. But we'll see.

I haven't decided yet.  Though, it will start on my website if I do.

I have not but, will post it on my personal site first, as I normally do. You're right, the traffic is driven up and with our information on the post, that's one 'impression' in their minds that we've made!

I'll be on Cape Cod this July 4th in a waterfront townhouse.... step off the deck and you're in the sand.... I'll see the fireworks from the deck... to answer your question, I WILL be writing a post the next day...

Nope! Only show will be at Navy Pier and not viewable form most places unless you are there or on a nearby beach! Good luck with your approach. I like the idea!

Good for you for continuing to find so many ideas that generate extra income! If I have time I will post a July 4th post but busy with real estate and have family time scheduled..if I get to it great if I don't ..it won't be a huge crisis.
