I think it's a niche like anything else, but not one that I would participate in or recommend. I personally don't like the political segregation that's taken hold of the country. Some of my favorite clients and business partners are on the opposite end of the universe from me politically, but I wouldn't want to miss out on the chance to know them and work with them.

I think the REAL question is, "Should a real estate agent be transparent, genuine and acknowledge what they stand for; to articulate their 'WHY"?"
The classic smiley face would say,,,,"Oh me, it might cause someone to go someplace else."
The contemporary agent may realize trust, commitment and loyalty are based on conveying one's WHY.
As the results of the Conservative Move expression, those who have self-selected and are predisposed to choosing those with an aligned why are doing what resonates with them.
Those whose marketing contains critters, pink, children, motocycles, boats and tats are doing EXACTLY them same thing, just a bit more meekly.

You beat me to it, Fred Griffin ! I was just going to link the same article. I think his campaign will garner him some business but I doubt it will have much impact on where people move.
It's a good idea. There are certain states that are outright hostile to business owners, enterprenuers, certain religions, investors, etc. I've seen millionaires increase their annual income by 10% or more just by moving out of a liberal state. Why not market to them?
It's just a matter of time before certain states implode due to mass regulation, high taxes, and liberal social programs for the shucksters. These states take from the producers and give to the takers, creating a dependent voter base but some day the producers will pack up and move. Of course, the fed will probably bail them out at that point...

Fair housing does not cover political beliefs, prospect away is what I would say to this group.
One more thing...(10 a.m.)
This would not be far off from having a big time conservative promoting a real estate brokerage, which has been done with success.

No, this is not who we are. We were rejected on a consulting job. The folks loved our work, and did not like that we were not converts to their religion. We are dedicated to doing our best and we have not discriminated based on politics or anythin else. A

No politics in my real estate. However, if someone is a loud mouth jerk on either end of the spectrum I tell them they have the wrong agent. Here in dark blue Sonoma County conservatives are an endangered spiecies! The number 1 radio station in the Bay area is the public broadcasting station.

Not sure what i can or cant say about it. I do think it is good that people can move away from these high tax states though to areas that are better for ones pocket book. Here in NH we have no sales tax and no income tax, we have a huge amout of relocations from MA, CT and NY.

It's a form of niche marketing that's not quite my style... I have my own political, religious, personal opinions, but I don't publicize them in any way from a business development standpoint. As far as I'm concerned, I can help most anyone buy or sell a home whether I agree with their positions or not. I may also be a better fit than someone who is a clone in their beliefs. And in fact, I find this kind of niche marketing something that leads to more divisiveness in our society which I am against.
