If I write anything that pertains to my market or my buyers or sellers then I use the state, county, city and subdivision if it applies.

I started out playing by the rules. But no one else in my State seemed to be ?

Originally you were only supposed to be using this IF it was spotlighting something from that exact Geographical Area !!! But no one policed it !

Peter we use hyper local consitently with our market reports and localism posts. But after I read Kathleen Daniels comment that hyperlocal tabs may not be working I'll have to ask Bob Stewart ??

Just dont click the featured listing box or it will crash.

It is my understanding that the hyper-local does not function any longer.  The options are there when initially posting.  However, after publishing they disappear.  I still use them ... not sure why I do ... old habits die hard I guess.

I use them whenever the post is one I want to locally target.

I use them at the appropriate time for localism and listing posts.

I don't know for sure if Localism works but I always have the belief that geogrpahy is important so I at least go through to the city and if it is a listing, the neighborhood.

I always check CA for my blogs.

But then for Localism posts...

I go deeper with San Diego and La Jolla or whatever neighborhood of San Diego I'm posting about.

I use them when writing about local events

Peter - I typically check hyper local, and will at least select the state. If I write a local post, I will narrow it down to county, and city if it makes sense. However, based on what I am reading, perhaps there is no need if it isn't even working.

I use these options if my blog is about one certain area.  Don't know if it helps or makes a difference. 

I always choose my location picking up the state, county, city, and a hood. I'm surprised to find out that those functions are not active any longer....

I've always been using these.  Push them to the relevant geographic region.  If it's a generic post, I leave it at my county level.

I'm not trying to be an international, national, state or county hero so it is always pointed at my community first.

If it's a blog that relates to my State>County>City, I check the appropriate boxes. It's an opportunity to show up on one or more pages!!!

Apply as many as appropriate. The blog page moves so fast I think good and useful ones are often not shown long enough to be shared with commercial interruptions.....

I think it helps you to be found under those locations.

I use them if they what I'm writing fits within the category of hyperlocal!!!!
