Hopefully some of our terrific Seattle agents will weigh in with some thoughts, like Courtney Cooper . I have no clue. And no one has a crystal ball you know

It will have to level off - pricing everyone out of the market there. Seattle is one of our feeder markets in Bend, and even though the prices in Bend are inflated, in comparison to Seattle, we are cheap - thus driving the price up for us as well.

My crystal ball broke in the 1989 earthquake. I have been unsuccessful in finding a replacement. I know Michael Jacobs may have a deflated ball but I am sure that won't help us predict the Seattle market 2 years out.

I was thinking the same as Bob, i predict rain. Other than that, i can make predictions for the other side of the coast.

Kris,
I have no idea, and we are not in Seattle. It would be best answered by a top notch agent there. A

I expect a recession. Seattle is not immune from it.
The price at 6-7% interest will make affordability difficult .....
Unless Boeing, Microsoft and Z have full employment......

I think it will still be on the west coast of the U.S. unless it falls into the ocean as so many have forecast for so long... hope not. But being in N. Virginia its very hard for me to "See" Seattle at all ;)

look at the last 3 years and most area go for 7 years with a great market.

I keep track of the Denver market, which is quite brisk at this point. Know nothing about the Seattle market.

I wouldn't even try to "see" where my own market will be in two years. Real estate like life is about constant change and it's a moving target. It's best to stay informed of what is happening now.

Greater focus on high paying tech jobs.
Refocus on affordable housing.
Better coverage of the tight ends.
Protect the quarterback.
Need to score more to win.
Real estate will change ownership and professionals will be present to help and it will be a buyer/seller/balanced market all the time.
Wow! That's a whole bunch of nothing.

I have no idea but, we are already seeing some stabalization here in Charlotte and expect it to be a neutral market by that time - especially with interest rates rising. That is, of course, unless the government does something to forgive student loans!

I don't know Seattle but I listen to the economic analysts for Hawaii's market projections. The ones I follow here have been fairly good at projecting where our property values will be near term. They always offer the usual caveats though. No one can predict what the future will bring and any big upset can radically change that projection.
