Would you believe because it make fair housing LAW and protects people from discrimination among other things.

Fair laws ensures equal housing opportunities. It would be nice to think that because you and other licensees take a course on Fair Housing the problem would go away.
However, studies show that buyers, sellers and their agents can still feel that since it is their property they should be able to "sell to whomever they want!"
Believe that this isn’t true today? You would be wrong.
However, real estate professionals continue to make statements that are either directly a violation of fair housing laws or can lead to a violation of the same.
