You know what's really crazy in my market - low inventory & prices are not really going up. That's been since last year. Throw out that well know economic condition of supply & demand I guess.

Hi Frank... is this a quiz?  I would have no idea how the prices in your market are reacting to low inventory. Here in Charlotte the lack of inventory has been driving prices up for three years now... it's the basic economic principle of supply and demand.

We are experiencing low inventory as well, have been for the past couple of year, and unfortunately pricing has gone above and beyond what is reasonable creating a false market.

In our market it has increasing prices. Though winter and bad weather has slowed that a bit even with record low inventory.

Inventory has been low for over a decade in CA and the effects of it felt since our 2011 recovery. It existed before but with the Great Depreciation of '07-'11, we didn't notice it as much. We're climbing at a rate of 3%-7% per month in most areas, although the rate hikes may slow that down eventually. For now they've created earnest.

Our prices have mainly gone up due to a healthier market. It's just been recently that we have experienced low inventory. I'm thinking we are going to see prices creep upwards.

It's the old law of supply and demand. I listed a condo with no competition and a glut formed immediately.  It's no a race to the bottom.
