Keep asking, "Does the work I now do align with the goal I have set?"
Example: How does spending hours fixing the TWAIN application program interface to my Epson scanner get me to where I want to go?
I need to make a clear distinction of those things I CAN DO and those things I SHOULD do.
And of course a mind kept clear by periods of great physical exertion has proven very helpful.
