It would be welcomed, but based on Trump's statements on other existing programs, I doubt he will abolish it, but rather amend it. Could it get worse than it is? You bet it could!

Well I think we've got WAY too many laws and regulations on the books and this one is the most far reaching.  We'll see where it goes...

I have no thoughts about this other than to watch and see.

We shall see what actually happens.  The administration has a lot of goals - and with a like minded congress, there may be significant changes on the horizon.

The very last thing I would support is allowing Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Merril Lynch and Monsanto to do what ever they want to do.

This country is already driven by morally corrupt orgainzations, namely banks and insurance companies and the NFL() that MUST be controlled.

I read that somewhere else last night and wonder if we'll see this during this presidential term coming up.  I'm sure there will be a lot of happy lenders if that's the case!

Should both Dodd Frank and environmental regulations ease, new home construction could finally expend to address inventory shortages that we have in SoCal since the recovery began.

From some of the things I've read about the emergency liquidation clause, I'm all for it.  Right now, Dodd Frank allows for banks to liquidate our bank accounts for their own use.  It's not our money anymore, it is theirs.  Every once in a while you'll find a financial planner that will talk to you about it, but it's a dangerous act.

There are parts of it that have helped my clients, but I'm sure they can be helped by other measures, like the Mortgage Debt Relief Act when they do Short Sales.  That liquidation bit is enough to kill it.

Lets wait and see..certainly revisions are in order!

Less govt is always nice, but it seldom benefits little guys like us, dismantling ot the SEC will be for the benefit of the trumps and their cronies.

Me thinks we are going to see many changes in our future.

Big problem with Dodd Farnk was Barney Frank had no idea about the inside of how a mortgage loan is originated, sold, and securitiezed.  Same with banking. All it did was add staff legal to deal with the paperwork, not set anything on a better course. New loaw will come of this, heaven only knows what Mnuchin will come up with. If it is working, leave it alone. If not, do away with it & move on.

I think it will be good for all of us if it is dismantled and amended and time will tell, as others have stated.
