To stop running things like work, and start running things like a business. Putting out expenses and ensuring I saw a return. Cutting out time wasters (things and people). Putting marketing in a high priority position even with a busy pipeline.
When you work like an employee it's an entirely different mindset than when you work as if your life depended on your actions. As a business owner, they do.

I discovered Top Producer a gazillion years ago and started working a CRM to work by referral. More recently, I discovered Evernote.

Carli Williams - I'd say, Coach. Buffini & Company has not only helped me in my business - but also in life!
I am a better person - thanks to Brian Buffini and my coach.

When I decided to become a broker that was career changing. It allowed me to manage, be a broker owner, property manager, licensed real estate instructor, etc. and opened up many more doors.

Positive Impact: Staying focused on truly serving people. Making it all about them ... putting clients first ... always.
This is not new or revolutionary for me ... it is the way I have always managed my business.

The business in which we are engaged is but a vessel through which our greater purpose is achieved.
My world neither begins nor ends with real estate.
It is not knowing, or train'n, or instruction or technology that has the power to change ones life. It is REVELATION, not knowing, that leads to life change.
A revelation change can often be expressed as a "I know that I know that I know even if I can't explain it to you."
For me revelation came in the dark hours of a church cathedral when one brandishing a knife declared my life would be taken. At that moment, the content of my heart was on display, and now I know that I know, that I know.
I do not recommend this pathway to revelation. I do suggest that revelation come to those who seek and keep on seeking. Those who knock and keep on knocking until the truth they seek is revealed.
From the fullness of ones heart ones life is expressed. Stop being plastic and be your genuine self. That is what the universe needs. The rest of it is intended to separate you from your money.
The best decision I ever make was to be who I am, not who others want me to be. With that revelation comes the end of struggle with the lies of ones false self.
I know this is not the response you sought. I do however believe it to be important but understood by few.

For me I say coaching. It was tough & you have to learn to bit your lip & literally be 'coachable' or you're wasting your money. If you were doing things all bang up great, you wouldn't need a coach would you?
Books next I think. I never stop reading but I'm getting sick of Gary Keller no doubt about it.

Real estate, like life, is a work in progress with constant learning along with reflection. I particularly appreciate the thoughtful answers provided by Ron and Alexandra Seigel as well as John Meussner.

Without a doubt the following changed my life personal & professional: It was the concept of WIN-WIN and how the other fellow wants his too. What made it kick in for me was...I was the other fellow. Epiphany for me

1. I built a team of agents and added a full time admin to help process my files.
2. I started spending marketing dollars on Realtor.com and Zillow.
3. I began working with and focusing on investors.
If you are going to take you business to the next level then you must add an admin. By next level, I mean 60 plus transaction sides per year.
