Scott,
To get ads running on your YouTube videos you have to set it up on the settings for YouTube in your account.
This is a great question I have personally dealt with.
There are 2 important things to consider:
1. In order to make any interesting money at all you need a video with at least 10,000 views. To make good money you need about 1,000,000 views. Most real estate videos get about 25 views.
My daughter was bored one day and started looking through all of the videos I have made. I have probably made a couple of hundred real estate website videos on our RealtyCandy YouTube channel.
But...
The video I have that has the most views is one about some crazy ugly moles I found on my son's head!
So much for my skill making real estate videos. :)
2. When you have an ad and someone clicks on it, you are sending them to the other site and away from you.
I have found that when I have a site or page that is PURE information, like one I did about a computer system at a school in Mexico, that I have no way to ever make money from, then I put Google Ads there and make $100 per year or something to pay for hosting.
But....
If I have finally gotten someone to look at one of my website pages, after tons of concentrated marketing effort, the LAST thing I want to do is send them away from my site for a few pennies that Google is going to give me.
If you have a video that is about Star Wars, Cats, or Cute kids, then put Google ads on it.
If you have a video about real estate, then that is in your sales funnel. DO NOT send those people away from you.

I had to scroll down and read the responses. I've wanted to find out more about this. James Call has some good information.

Yes, I have gotten paid from my YouTube videos in the past. I have my account set up for them to send a check once I've earned at least $100. Throughout the years, I've only received maybe 3 or 4 checks.

I am with James Call on this. I will say that video testimonials and other marketing videos do make us money when people hire us. Calculating ROI on that is a challenge.

It would not make sense to use this program to monetize these types of videos.

James Call has a great answer. I'm lucky if my videos get any views, let alone enough to make money. Now the one made for a malibu house that looked like a spy movie trailer, that gets enough views to make money. It also cost $40 large to make. I doubt they're putting ads on it though.
Now something like This trainwreck of a song "Friday Friday" by Rebecca Black That has over 101 million views and I'm sure is making her enough to pay for college.

I don't do ads, but I do make money from my vids - after all I get customers from them

Scott Godzyk - I do post few market report videos on YouTube - though not monetizing, yet.

We make and post videos on our listings. Great way to market a property. We make money when the property sells.

NO
I would not do that to my viewers, I find it very irritating when they litter the videos with adds.

I read that on my You Tube account Scott. The most number I have on my videos is a few that have 500 views in 3 or 4 years.

Scott Godzyk Generally, you need high numbers of view to generate income from youtube.

Yes, my Trello tutorials are all monetized and I make about $100 every couple of months from those videos. I plan to monetize more of my most popular videos.
But on another note.. we also got a very good strong buyer who bought an all cash property for over $1M from a youtube video I created. Katerina

My listings virtual tours are posted to youtube so they may bring in a buyer.

Funny, puppies snuggling babies, cats, accidents and things that make you cry get 10000 hits. It takes content to make a penny

Few video posts, but I may consider more incentive to post them if I could make money from them! LOL!

I think there are lots of people making a good living as a result of their YouTube videos generating ad revenue.

I don't think I have enough viewers to even earn a penny. Sorry I don't have an answer for you.

Very much so. I have one investor who has bought 20 homes in 3 years and is up for 10 more.

I've not heard of this program and doubt I would participate with ads on my videos.
