The greatest problem is that we allow our govt to Control OUR land, the land that we pay for and pay taxes on.
In the constitution this is considered to be illegal to take the rights from citizens without compensation, but politicians and govt agencies conveniently forget this as they promote these police actions on OUR land.

It's really not an issue for Realtors to get involved in. I suspect it's best handled by the city and when needed an attorney

Whatever they are, real estate licensees rarely get involved, unless they are also attorneys.

I don't track these types of issues but the OMB can often solve them for some parties.

Real estate professionals can't change the zoning. Owners go to planning desk, planning department and ask for a hearing. Neighbors can dispute. Water is the most important resource for new land development in the west. Without potable water you have nothing

I'm not sure if anyone has the ability to control land. But they can control uses for the land.

It's best handled by the local jurisdiction and perhaps at the state and federal level along with the skills of an appropriate attorney.

Haven't a clue... never involved in such matters. By the way, this question has been asked and answered in AR dozens of times.

Kimberly Taylor You won't have any problems if you are familiar with local zoning ordinances and the Master/Comprehensive Plan.

Sounds like these type of problems need to be handled by the zoning department, attorneys, planning commissions and/or land use specialists.

You need to know the land use restrictions.
Attend your local planning commssion meetings and learn about the process.

Kimberly Taylor - these items are decided and implemented by town/county/state - and we just need to follow that!
