If they're just confined to one day a week, probably not going to end up getting what they want. What if the perfect house goes on the market Monday morning? By the time they get there, it's under contract.

They are not being realistic - gone are the days of house hunting on the weekend only

There is no waiting in a hot market. It may take longer to find.

In my hot market Debbie Reynolds the chances are slim to none for a buyer that can only tour on Sundays.

I give up. I just make an offer on same home to more serious clients. That is too bad for the not serious people.

In a hot market, buyer such as what you describe, Debbie Reynolds , are not serious - unless they are willing to make an offer sight unseen, which I do not recommend! Buyers in a hot market have got to be ready to jump when the home hits the MLS. If they don't, they may learn to regret it.

Oh there are plenty of them to see on Sunday, but it's the overpriced and poor condition ones around here......

There are other solutions, for example, to see after or before work ( or even during the lunch), or to write offers ''subject to'' the visual inspection.

Debbie Reynolds - if I am aware of the fact that the home will not last that long, I suggest to preview the home at the earliest.
Sometimes the buyers just can't preview the home almost immediately.
I still will check on their motivation, though.

I don't think they are motivated to actually buy. They will miss out on houses that come on the market during the week.

SOmetimes that is they way it is but I would ask why? That will be the tell!

Our market is still pretty hot, but usually the offers are received end of day on Sunday.

I've had that with super busy people. They worked long hours and had some kid thing on Saturday. It happens, they just need to be ready to write that second when they find something.
1,866,318
They have a problem I believe with urgency & don't understand the market. Leisurely shoppers ....
2,829,166
That might be their circumstances but it surely may cause them to miss-out
3,416,322
The homes do not wait and some times the buyer has to loose their dream home to wake up ad look as new listings hit the market
921,504
Yes they are motivated to buy.....when they see the house they want.
Will it wait on them? Of course not. Motivation moves to the highest gear when the 2nd house they love is purchased by someone else. This is true whether they are looking SUNDAY only or full time plowing the dark-side.
If the buyers if fully qualified and able, without a pile of contingencies, a skilled agent will be able to overcome the challenges of what appears to be a low inventory marketplace.

They need to give house hunting the priority it deserves - including taking time off work to accomplish it - just as they would to see any other professional....
1,004,418
IMO no - motivated buyers will make time to view homes - either on their lunch break, after work or dinner etc.
There's always time

Debbie Reynolds If they were really motivated, they would ask to see something after work hours.

Chances in my market is very low that the property will still be there. I've found that buyers need to lose out on a few because of their limited schedule and they get more "motivated" to see homes when they actually come on the market.

If it is what the client wishes and we cannot change their mindset; so be it!
917,743
If they were truly motivated and saw a home they loved online, I would think they would arrange to take a day off to go see it.
2,180,133
They better be willing to make offers on what is actually still left to see on Sundays.

There will never be a shortage of unrealistic prospects. However, I am sure that you can meet their needs.

We've NEVER had a market that hot. With +11 months of inventory on the books, we've always had a Buyer's market.
