No. I've never been asked for it, except at guard gates. Amazingly enough a business card works just fine.

Yes, and no one has ever asked me to see it. In VA, anyone can look up our license on the dpor website.

This is not common practice in Oregon. It is always available online with the Real Estate Agency website.

I always have the wallet size card in my wallet but no one has ever asked to see my license. A business card has always been sufficient, especially if it has my pic on it.

I have pocket cards for both California and Hawaii. Only in Hawaii do I need to show it--for example, at their membership meetings to get in the door and the vendors ask for them. They run it through a computer that gives them all the information about my brokerage and I end up getting on people's email lists. It's like a credit card with a chip, that doubles for entry with a Sentri lockbox. The California one is just stiff paper; normally don't show that, just a business card will do.

Never - it's not a requiement here. Nobody has ever asked me either in 28 years. It is intersting to learn that many states do require it and that it's a standard practice. I didn't know this! With that said I do check all agents out that submit offers to make sure they are licensed.

We are required to carry it here in Illinois. I have only been asked for it in a few gated communities for entrance.
3,385,833
By law in our state, we are required to. I have it in a flip top leather pouch where I also keep my Sentricard, business cards and car key. It's like a mini wallet.

No except when I'm showing in a few gated communities and the guard asks me for it to go in and show homes.

I don't but have heard that agents in other areas have been asked for their real estate license along with a business card especially in guard-gated communities. So far, I've never been asked for it at a listing presentation. The information of all California real estate licenses are available online.

Don't carry it.
Never been asked for it.
Even my broker verified via the state website, not my printed license.
