Next time, try writing it OUTSIDE of AR - like in note pad of wordpad

I have learned to save every few minutes...and I do mean just a few.  It makes such a difference knowing that my work won't disappear if something goes wrong.

Ugh, that stinks! I try to remember to save my work every few minutes just in case....

Hit that save button a lot. I had one crash on me the other day. I was bummed out, but thankfully able to retrieve it. I'm not really sure how I managed that, or I would share that with you. 

It happens Joe. Save your work over and over. I lost one like you did and Bob Stewart was able to retrieve it for me.

Joe,  For some reason, when I've tried composing directly onto Activerain,  the longer my posts run the SLOOOOOOWWWWEERRRR my typing gets. So I now compose in Word. ALL my tweets, facebook and blog posts are written in word. This also allows me to check my word counts very easily, grammar, spell check, etc. I just cut and paste when ready to pull the publishing trigger.

It is really annoying when it happens. But if is utube video only, it is quite easy to embed that link again. While writing directly in the Rain, press ''save'' often. 

I try to save or copy & paste into another app first.  I've lost too many blogs that way.

Yes, there's some strange gremlins lurking around here these days.

That happens from time to time.  We do not get a refund for our efforts. 

Best practice is to save the code so you have somewhere other than in an AR post.

I'm sorry this happened to you, Joe -- and I'm pretty sure it's happened to each of us.

I write my posts in GoogleDrive and cut/paste instead of directly in AR.

I doubt that it crashed. You need to learn basic HTML for your idea to work.

That happens. Save it first, and copy/paste the text into your email or somewhere else so you don't have to write it all over again.

It's been known to happen. Hopefully you had the video backed up somewhere.

Type your post in a reliable editor, save it, then copy and paste to your blog.

It happens, important to do most of the writing on Word and paste it into AR.

Type it out in in Word first is what I suggest.

I'm so sorry - I had that happen to 2 of mine last night and I hadn't saved them!  I've been cursing myself all day because I still haven't had a chance to put them back together!  UGH!
