My coffee maker and smoothie maker ... combined are under $300. Its a great way to start my day ... which is good for business.

I think Debbie Gartner nailed it; although my GPS came with the car; I would add coffee maker, as Kathleen Daniels mentioned. GPS is definitely a game-changer in this business. Electronic keyboxes are great too.

I have to say my nice coffee maker at the office.

Great business cards (and not the 9.99 kind) and a good printer!  Oh my, a good printer is necessary if you work from home!

My cheap 4 in 1 printer does everything for me physically and is essential to business. I recycle papers that don't require shredding to jot down notes, ideas, and lists for myself.

This time of year I add moisture wicking clothing into the wardrobe. Three hundred bucks can get me some shirts and a couple of shorts. That way I don't look like a drowned rat when the temps reach for 100.

Scanner changed my business. When fax machine first came out in the 1980's I thought it was wonderful (fax machine actually was invented before the telephone) - but now efax and scanning makes it easy to record documents, send information and save time JUST as long as you can label the subject
