I have started using it on my messages for my iphone, but not on active rain comments. It does get annoying when the message does not appear as what you said!!! Yes, I proof read, but sometimes after the fact.

Since I have a Southern accent those programs do not always understand me and rather than get embarrassed by an incorrect word I choose to not use them.

No, keyboard only. If anything requires a response more than a sentence or two, I don't do it until I get to a keyboard. AR, email, etc.

I let my fingers do the walking on the keyboard. I type very fast. As for proofing ... I do that as I type.

I don't. I remember eons ago that someone tried to write posts with it & it was a disaster. Most had to be re-written so what was the point?
Yes I do try to proofread & have a complete sentence. There are others .... not so much .

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington - no voice-to-text for me!
Though I do use some tricks to be more effective here in 'Rain.

No, I just type on my laptop. I do use voice to text for phone and for to do/buy lists.

When I am out in the woods I do this on my phone, when I am near a real wifi connection, I prefer to type.

I enjoy AR on my laptop! If I'm in a position to use voice-to-text it's usually 'on the go' related. Proofreading is a MUST!

No, I would not even consider it. I have done voice to text messages and been very embarrased.

I don't use voice to text. Unfortunately I can't blame my typos on that.

No. I try to proof, but that finger has been known to hit the post button withuot the eye/hand coordination of a full proofing!

I only dictate to Siri when texting - her colleagues have difficulty understanding me as I don't speak pure American nor Canadian

Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington I have Dragon NaturallySpeaking, but I've only used it a couple of times here on
ActiveRain. Just for the fun of it, I'm using it right now to respond to your question. Overall it does work; however, I did have to do some editing to my response. Also, Dragon NaturallySpeaking doesn't open up directly in the ActiveRain answer window. I had to record this in an outside box and then transfer over to the ActiveRain window. It is taken me more time to speak my response than it would have to type it.
I have used it in MSWord for letters and it does do a good job.

I did not know we could voice to text on the 'Rain!
And as Siri does not understand 90% of the time; yes I would be proofreading.

I don't use voice to text... too many opportunities for comments showing up not quite the way you intended. (Sort of like when texting auto-corrects you and you haven't checked.)

No, I have not used 'voice-to-text' on AR, and always proof read Paul S. Henderson, REALTOR®, Broker, Tacoma Washington. And that being said, there are still times when I notice an off word or spelling, after the fact - HA! It can be so much easier to catch someone else's typo, than my own.
