We call off brands "concrete siding" and it's like everyone call it a Jacuzzi when that's also a brand.  It's a pretty popular product in my market and has been for about 15 years.

Yes very familiar. Many builders are using this on their houses, decks and posts. I have it on my porch roof and posts. We use a lot of Trex brand. It is fiber cement.

This type of siding is not as important in our market as in other parts of the country.  The term "fiber cement siding" seems kinda familiar but I'm certainly not well-versed on the subject.

Absolutely... hardiplank. My current house is hardiplank... great siding and I prefer it to the brick houses I had... pressure wash it every so often, paint every 8-10 years and no repointing, etc. Lots of our new construction in Charlotte is now hardiplank.

I have seen some cement board siding and used it a bit, looks very nice but very brittle.
