1) Listen to Amanda
2) Don't listen to Jared
3) Dive into as much education as they can and become an info sponge...while at the same time avoiding all of the noise that gets in the way of the good stuff.

Consider everyone you meet a prospect.
Follow up, follow up, follow up.
Take names, numbers, emails and good notes.
Don't take the first, second , third or fourth No. When you get to number 6 then it may be time to put it on the back burner.

Get them started prospecting immediately. Cold calls (just to get used to it), door knocking, even standing outside of a grocery store armed with questions about what people liked and disliked about their last real estate agent. Get them used to speaking with people and have them listen more than they talk. Stress building their database as fast as possible so they have something to work from later.

Don't look back! There is a piece of wisdom that says if you look back you can't plow a straight line. Look straight ahead at your goal and you will get there a lot faster.

1) Shadow a willing experience veteran for a few weeks to hone your skills.
2) Do not get sucked into the parasites who will call you with promises of boosting your business with leads, etc.
3) Sit down and read the legal forms, line-by-line and develop the ability to explain the pros and cons from the buyer and seller perspectives.

I'm sure your training and mentorship system will be a great start. Beyond that, I'd say FOCUS. Don't go running off in too many directions at once. Be good and consistent at what you do.
