I enjoyed corporate life, but disliked my last manager. He lacked management skills. Needless to say, after I left the company, his bosses discovered the truth and fired his butt!

No, I don't. Been there, done that. Retired in 1989. Was heavily recruited to come back in the early 90's... all I could think was been there/done that.

Heavens no! I was the CEO of a boat manufacturing company in the late '60's and early '70's and had over 150 employees not to mention a Nationwide distributor and dealer network, a fleet of transport trucks, office management, labor, consultants, attorneys, accountants, etc, etc, . 

Before getting into the boat biz I was a happy go lucky professional water skier and traveled nationally competing and performing in shows. That was a very fun part of my boating experience

However, when I started designing and manufacturing boats I made a lot of money for sure. But it zapped my enthusiasm for the thing I was most passionate about. Water skiing.

That was my first and last experience in the corporate world and I will never go back. I love the feeling of freedom and independence I've attained in what we do now and don't ever really want to be beholding to anyone except my family, friends and carefully chosen clients.

When it becomes WORK I QUIT!!

Nope, to old, no one would want me. No one would pay me what I am worth either.

No way, where else can I work 7 days a week at something I love.

I actually shuddered when reading that!  I've never been of that mentality and I don't think I would survive it, nor they me!

No but I do envision going into retirement and playing more golf!  Maybe next year...

I liked it when I was shielded by my superiors from all the politicing and BS.  Now, I make more money, have more freedom and work about half as much.  You'd have to pay me serious coin to go back.

Ugh! No! I never think about going back to Corporate America. Every time I have to leave the house early for an appointment and I have to drive in rush hour traffic I thank my lucky stars I don't have to do that any more!

I have a huge case of Job Envy of Steve Shatsky, who is now a Customer Service Manager for American Airlines at National Airport - complete with wonderful travel benefits!

I have had thoughts over the years but quickly come to my senses and realize I cannot work for anyone else ever again.

Too late now....i am knee deep in Real Estate and have been for 30 years. The only way i may say good bye is for a professional tropical beach tester.

    Many real estate offices ARE "corporate America". 

  For example, Coldwell Banker, ERA, and Century 21 are all owned by the same parent corporation (Realogy).  

    Be assured that RE/MAX and Keller Williams and others are operated using corporate principles and methods.

Yes, I actually have.  The idea of working for someone else then makes my stomach ache and my head hurt.  Therefore,  it is not an option. 

Not with any degree of seriousness, as it took me a few years to make the real estate decision - for me, it was not quick and it was not easy.  If I were to, it would only be part-time, and in that case, I would rather go back to volunteer work Harry F. D'Elia. 

I have never been directly involved in Corporate America.  However, I have been involved with Corporate Canada, which depending on the particular situation, was owned by Corporate America or Corporate ROW.  Many real estate businesses are owned by Corporate Pick Your Favourite Country.

The only thing I would go back to would be a deli/sub/pizza store!

Can't think of a time that thought has crossed my mind until you asked it. 

Do you know any franchise have a 401K plan, insurances?  Most new agents have left for high tech while hanging their license somewhere.
