Wanda: Absolutely. I have sold homes as a result of boosting the listing and have generated both new buyers and sellers from niche article boosts. Make sure your boosts are targeted to specific demographics in your area.

I have gotten many more likes to my business page, a lot of shares, and more traffic to open houses, but can't say any direct business

I think that if you don't target it right, you've wasted your time. It's a skill just like any other ad.

I've gotten many more views.  Significantly increased traffic to my website.  Zero business and zero people into an open house.

Good question..it works for Anita Clark and others..so far haven't needed the extra boost..my open houses are swamped!

We tried it many Moons ago with zero success even when directed to specific goups of people.

One can only market to a larger audience for a great price.

We boosted posts and have increased the post's visibility and the "likes" on our page very dramatically. But no business can be directly linked to boosting a post yet.

Our son is a local landscaper and he's had tons of business from boosting posts, however. Could be that real estate isn't the right match for FB, or it could be that real estate's brew time is longer.

To me, this comes under the anything is possible rule. When money is involved, it slows the rule down a bit

Haven't done that as listings seem to sell quickly without.

Wanda Kubat-Nerdin - I use Facebook Ads - not used  the 'boost' feature yet. Checking other answers...

I did not hire third parties yet. But I just received a very tempting offer to post regularly on my social medias for a very reasonable price. 

I don't waste my time on paying an advertising fee.

Great question. I haven't done this and I was just thinking about this the other day. I'm parked and reading.

I've never paid to boost a post on Facebook.  I am not a fan of Facebook or paying for marketing efforts on third party sites.
