I make sure I take the time 6 out of 7 days a week at 5:15 am to do strength training at the YMCA.... it's a routine.... I feel lost on the day that I take off for my muscles to recuoerate.....it's important to stay fit....and I go in the early morning when the doors open there so that I can focus properly and not be interrupted....I know many of the members.... it's NOT a social hour for me....it's just as important as business....

Oh Crap Anna Banana Kruchten - I sure used to ... my Zumba at the gym 6 days a week. I need to get back into working out. I purchased new shoes, yoga pants, and have my schedule ready. That is all part of my second half of the year plan ... live more ... work less.

Exercise!
I invest TOO much in the food I consume to burn it with unproductive activity! Over all that protest, every morning I sprint up the flight of stairs, ten times, leading to the Pinellas Trail overpass.
I work hard so I can live the reclined lifestlye I want. That means three times a week and on weekends my sneakers are burning miles and miles while I converse with myself and sort things the way they should be.
And having observed the proliferation of "bingo wings" in those of my age, twice a week I engage in X-Force muscle building.
Whose got time for exercise?

Anna,
Yes we both do. And we love doing it at minimu 4 t.imes a week for 75 minutes. We practice a combination of flow yoga (one movement after another) and yin yoga aka deep yoga of holding a posture for 2-4 minutes, while supported with props to let gravity do its work. When we can we also take long walks on the beach for at least an hour.

I do a 30 minute or more work out Monday through Friday and walk on my threadmill. On the weekends I work in my garden which gives me a pretty good workout too.

I weight train 4-6 days a week and supplement with long walks. A knee sprain has ben interfering with some of that, but I agree that exercise is important to life balance. I think most people here have a mindset of self-improvement: we come to AR to learn and interact in ways that make us better, strive to become better at our jobs, train our minds, etc. Physical fitness goes hand-in-hand with that goal of self-improvement.

Yes and no. I do when I am in the office working for the day or week, I go walking. When I am out in the field I tend to get over 20000 steps and a decent work out working.

Some weeks I do and some weeks I do not Anna Banana Kruchten - I used to be more disciplined in the past, basically before I became a realtor. There are certain activities that I love, and have not made time for them, in spite of trying to get at least 10,000 steps in on my Fitbit daily.

I try to get some exercise on a daily basis but it is not a part of my business plan, more of a personal plan on self improvement.

Living in an urban environment with very imited and expensive parking, I walk or bicycle to as many events, appointments and errands as are possible. That both gets the job done and provides exercise almost daily. Living and working in San Diego means lots of hills. Of course, hot summer days combined with longer distances means suits and ties don't work well with manual transportation.

Don't laugh...I hula hoop when I wait for return calls or emails. The gym is across the hall and I use it as little as possible. When I do, it's 45 mins on the treadmill.

Yes, and recently started walking with my neighbor who also is in real estate and we love to talk about the market, ideas and brainstorm. It makes the 2 miles around our complex go by quickly!

Yes. I have an eliptical machine in my spare bedroom. I wake up each morning and do 30 minutes on it, fasted cardio. I have a 45 minute TV show on while I do it and finish the show on my massage chair (the cool $800 Human Touch ones, not the $25 chair pads). I also have a weekly appointment with my trainer for weight lifting. Focusing on legs now because of a screwed up shoulder preventing most upper body stuff. I used to go 6 and 7 days a week to lift, was a total Iron Addict. Now I'm sad that I haven't done chest, back or shoulders in 6 months and can only do about half an arm workout.
