Makes me nuts when people say they published their blog - no, you published a post within your blog.

You have a blog on Active Rain.  You publish a blog post.  Or, an article.  

It's a blog post...or an article.

Many mistakenly call it a blog, but a blog is compilation of all of your blog posts.

There's been a bit of confusion of terms since blogging became so main stream. A blog is like a newspaper, with blog post or articles within. But even the link under our names on the top nav bar on AR says "write a blog"

I call it a Blog Post!

It is a post but when I am asked the question, I do tell people that I am an active blogger, not an active poster.

I call it a blog post - articles are what I write that are long and much more informational - the blog IMO is the container for the blog posts

Blog post.  Blog refers to the entire collection of posts.

Think of it this way:

Blog = Book that is a collection of stories

Blog Post = One story in that book

I was taught that it was known as a blog post....

What I've learned via others here is that your BLOG is made up of posts that you write.
