Yes, as we are requested to do and to let the sellers know we had come. Absolutely no marketing material should be left... the seller is another agent's client and we have no right to try to interfere with that relationship.

It is customary to leave a card and I'm always amazed at the marketing material the local eejits attempt to leave.  I gather them up and report them if the Seller is mine and I take a photo and report them if I'm representing another Buyer.   The sleezy tactics need to be wiped out if it is only one sleeze at a time!

PS my usual keep my head down and eyes on my own paper doesn't apply here  and is replaced by "what's good for one is good for all".  I want a level playing field.

Supra = no need to leave a card; presence has already been recorded. If I enter with a key that I picked up at a listing office etc., I leave a card to confirm I was there. I would prefer not to leave a business card in somebody else's listing--I do not want to hear from their seller asking me questions about a potential deal.

My sellers often get upset if someone was supposed to show the property and didn't leave a card because they're not sure anyone actually came. I have some special little cards made up for showings.

The other is, forgive me, quite tacky, and smacks of crossing an ethical line.

Yes to business card, as far as marketing material, I would hope your business card would do you justice. There are 2 sides to a business card. Use it to promote yourself , that way the listing agent won't  get all fired up thinking you are after his clients.
