The list of things that make me feel my age is a very long list.

SAD! We used to watch Bob Hope walk his little doggie up and down N Palm Canyon Drive at 1am from the patio at Brandy's nightclub  . . . there are retro-revering millennials who know/love the old greats, but more are like Watters portrays them. And no, I don't feel old! I feel blessed to have come up in a world without Kardashians and autotune!

Sometime ago, I heard Joni Mitchell singing on the radio. My son asked who is Johnny Mitchell?

Until rencently I thought lady Gaga was a porno star..... Saw her singing at Superbowl.  I do not work with these younger generation mostly they are priced out of home market and other generation gap issues.

It gets worse than that. I used to have people make comments about my name being Debbie Reynolds. Now the young people have no idea who she is and if a discussion arises where I mention it I have been told that their grandparents probably would know who she is because it is before their and their parents time. That is a real blow.

Thank goodness my grand kids keep me current with who is who..but not always guaranteed!!

I think the millenials scope of knowledge is super small.  I knew who a bunch of people "before my time" thanks to my Mom and Dad...and school.  I could recognize Presidents in pictures who weren't in office during my lifetime.  

And the first time I felt old was when I was in a car with buyers who loved "classic rock."  Journey's song Separate Ways was playing.  That was my moment.

Happens all the time.  And thanks for the memories.

Yes, a 15 year old was with us at dinner tonight and he didn't know who Brad Pitt was, or Angelina Jolie.

Every day of my life, Richie.  On the other hand, I had no idea who that Bieber kid was until he started showing up in People magazine because of his antics. 

No...but did you ever show a house with a milk and or clothes chute and they wonder why there are little doors in the walls..?

I found out from someone we both graduated from the same high school, only I graduated 16 years before he did...

Oh yes.  About 20 years ago (when I was in my late teeens early 20s) I made a reference to something not too old and an early teen did not have a clue.  Really felt my age there.

I wouldn't feel bad about Bob Hope Richie.  I'm 37 and I barely know him.  I only know him from the USO shows.  And of course, Bob Hope International Airport in Burbank, where I fly out of.  I could see someone in their early 30s not even knowing who he is.

Yes, it's a problem isn't it. Often times they don't know most of what I would call intellectually famous. Should have thrown in John Wayne's name too.

Yes Richie, I feel it often. I was born in 1958 and youngsters see things in a different way compared to you and I.

Yes, I've noticed when I mention the movie "Sybil" to millennials I usually get a blank stare!  That makes me feel old.

They truly don't know what they missed... a great entertainer! And yes, it happens more and more, but I too feel blessed that we were entertained by the best!

No, it depends on the breadth of knowledge one is interested in.  I have seen very young kids know who Bob Hope is.  It has nothing to do with age. A

The list of important folks, not entertainers, that are uknown from the time of Nam to present is troubling. But the all know the Kardashians.
