It doesn't really matter where you start as much as starting in the first place.

First, an awareness visits with me. Then, a desire. After that, an order or procedure is given. I write down rough notes. Organize, fine tune and the start date kinda announces itself and I go along. That system invites me along

??? Depends on the project.

If you are painting the house, you start with trimming back the foliage, making repairs, prepping the surface...or....

simply buying lots of cold beer, inviting the able bodied and making sure the tools are used before they eat or drink.

How you start may vary.

Good morning Mary. It depends on the project, but I usually don't have the time to take the elephant approach.

Depending on the project I may break it into smaller chunks, organize the steps chronologically or group tasks in categories. The I look for everything I can delegate. That can lighten a load that seems too big.

Mary Yonkers - good question.

One needs to analyze the elephant and start with the tail....or trunk....or ears...

The first step of the journey is most important - one MUST start!

Michael Jacobs is right "It doesn't really matter where you start as much as starting in the first place!" Some just procrastinate and never start tackling the project. Start somewhere and commit to finishing!
