Success has different definitions for different purposes.  Each social network is used for success in different ways.

Active Rain is at the root of all of my success in social networking.

Facebook is #1 and I am starting to see some extra activity on Twitter and LinkedIn in the past few months.  Goes without saying, ActiveRain is there too!

Success for business? Probably this one, AR. I try to push Instagram now to add some results from there too. 

Facebook #1, Twitter #2 both have brought me buyers and sellers. LinkedIn # 3, I get a lot of inquiries through it, but nothing closed yet. Instagram I just picked up a client from recently. 

I guess I should just answer "all". In marketing you have to be where your clients like to hang out!

Different strokes for different folks - in the past I would have said FB - but now that it is flooded with ads and agents, I find it less relative and helpful.  Same applies with G+ - LinkedIn I get a lot of requests to be added but very little if any business.

Yelp works very well for reviews and has sent me several customers due to the reviews.

Otherwise, social media and sites I find to be a large waste of time and money for me.

However, AR has through the years and continues to be very beneficial to my referral business for which I am very grateful.

So there it is - Yay AR ;)

I guess FB.  But, I do nothing to get that.  My customers have been recommending me in several FB Moms groups.

ActiveRain is, has been and will continue to be my NUMBER ONE platform for business visibility and responses from unknown persons needing Mortgages and Refinances in Virginia.   Tumblr rates a distant second for visibility of my business. 

Up until recently I would have said Facebook. I have received leads from agents and communities from FB. It is now flooded with agents. There are several issues with FB including it can waste your time. Most recently, I've had success with people calling me from my LinkedIn profile. I haven't done anything different so I cannot say what is driving this. I'd also like to figure out how to get leads from Pinterest. 

Facebook is good for business...  but Active Rain is good for the unlimited knowledge that is shared here by true professionals in our industry. Phenomenal group of people who share an extraordinary amount of good information!

I get the most views from posts on Facebook.  None of the networks have given me any business or helped me sell a listing.

Active Rain....many people find me on the web...... and FB .....but I don't blow up my news feed with listings as I think that turns people off...rather subtle hints..."It was so hot showing homes today!!!"  I just started a FB Business page to put my listings.

Facebook has been best for me for my personal business although I never pay for ads or push real estate their, I just connect and meet with old friends and business happens, AR is a close second

Activerain and Linkedin are best for me in meeting with other agents and growing my brokerage

I have always thought ActiveRain is a good way to get on the first page of Google. I am enjoying Instagram and finding more ways to make it useful, along with my business FB page.

Facebook and Active Rain.  They somewhat go hand in hand since I share my posts on Facebook.  Do the same with Twitter and beginning to see more from there.

I consider ActiveRain a social network and when it comes to business, networking, knowledge and yes - even having fun, the one I have found the most success.

It depends on how success is measured I suppose.

For generating new clients my WP blog, AR, YouTube, and FB top the list.

For driving traffic to my WP site it would be YouTube, Pinterest, Infographics, Slideshare, and content curation sites (i.e. Bundlr, Co-Promote, VCB, Triberr, etc.)

For professional networking, G+ and LinkedIn are at the top of my list.

For sharing (and getting my content shared) by others it is G+, Twitter, and AR.

The list could go on and on depending on the need/purpose.

AR is the only one I really use consistently!

You Tube is the cat's meow for results and ease of show and tell.

mm....DIfferent places and spaces....many times you get the "found you on the internet" answer and it is likely to be from more than one source.

If you exclude Active Rain, Facebook would be my most successful social networking source.

My blogs appear on our Facebook business page as well as Activerain.  Because we are a school, our target audience is the unlicensed individual who has a dream of practicing real estate.  I repost the blogs here because we want our school to be the premier real estate school in our area.  I am not directly looking for students through Activerain, but I do enjoy having the blogs appear here as well.
