Look in the drafts and see if it is saved there. Very frustrating and happens to me on almost every post, despite saving them as I write them.

Check your saved unpublished drafts. Might be there. I have had this happen and have learned to hit save throughout writing to make sure it is actually saved.

I see several answers prompting you to hit save regularly. No help for any lost work but it may help protect against future issues. We all feel your Grrrrrrr!

Good morning Hillary. I don't write a blog on the AR site, have all my blogs on a word document and then cut and past it, so if something like that happens, it is no big deal.

O! I hate to do that. Once I lost a blog and now I save often while writing.

At this time we don't have an auto save feature. I do hit the save button often.

If you don't see it in Drafts, it is probably gone.
Suggest, prepare the blogs in notepad or Word, then transfer them over to AR and adjust the HTML to your desired style.

Hi Hillary - I think that the staff had to turn off the autosave feature a week or so ago to try and fix some broken code, and I don't think it's functioning again yet.

As far as I know it's on auto refresh every few minutes so that doesn't happen. If you 'lost it' it's in the unpublished section called drafts.

Save, and save often. You don't want to put lots of efforts into a great blog post and lose it. Did you check the drafts file?

Thanks to everyone who helped with answers and ideas. Most I'd tried as a 4 year user, but the sympathy was appreciated and learning that the auto save had been down for a week was the best info. Thanks so much!

Do check auto-save. This has happened to me on occasion and it's just "poof, gone!" As they say S__T happens! Sorry it happened to you. (One thing I do regularly is save throughout the writing process.)

I write everything in scribe fire and then posted to active rain. I've lost too many posts due to the gremlins in the active learning system.

Hillary Sheperd - sometimes this happens....
Just save the posts regularly or use external HTML editor.
